The Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) allows international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution to live, work, and gain professional experience in Australia. It is designed to help graduates transition from study to employment and potentially move toward skilled migration pathways. This visa has different streams depending on qualification level and occupation. It provides full work rights during the validity period and is one of the most common post-study visa options in Australia.
You must have completed a CRICOS-registered course in Australia within the last 6 months.
You must generally be under 35 years of age (some exceptions apply for certain qualifications).
Proficient in English language is mandatory. IELTS language test must be done before you start the visa application.
You must have completed at least 2 academic years of study in Australia.

All non-English documents must be translated into English by accredited translators.
Passport must be valid at time of application.
Details must match your Expression of Interest (EOI).
Visa is electronically linked to your passport number.
If passport expires during processing, you must update it.
All accompanying family members must also hold valid passports.
